Did you know – the glycemic index of apple juice is approximately 40 – which makes it a low glycemic index food!

The glycemic index ranks foods based on their carbohydrate content and their effect on blood glucose (also known as blood sugar level). Carbohydrates that break down quickly may cause a more rapid and higher blood glucose response. These carbohydrates tend to have high glycemic index rankings. However, carbohydrates that break down slowly may cause a more gradual blood glucose response and tend to have lower glycemic indexes.
